About the Project:
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), the skill training and placement programme of the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) aims to train rural youth who are poor and provide them with jobs with a regular monthly wages . It is one of the cluster initiatives of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India that seeks to promote rural livelihoods. It is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) - the Mission for poverty reduction called Aajeevika.
IL&FS Clusters have implemented 28 projects under various schemes of MoRD with a total target of 2.66 lakh unemployed youth, out of which 2.48 lakh have been trained with more than 87% of placement across the country.
